Neil is an experienced Barrister with a wide ranging practice. He has
appeared before most Courts and Tribunals, including the Administrative
Court and the Court of Appeal and has successfully appeared in a number
of Case-stated Appeals. In addition, he has experience as a Company
Secretary and was a Senior Crown Prosecutor for 8 years.
His practice at New Bailey covers all aspects of Criminal law as well
as civil harassment, bullying at work and discrimination cases. He has
particular knowledge and experience in the area of discrimination and
Human Rights law and a legal advice written by him was quoted during
Parliamentary debates on the Equality Act 2006, influencing changes
which were made to the Bill.
He is a recognised expert in the areas of harassment, bullying at work
and Anti-Social Behaviour law; he has co-authored text books and given
lectures on these subjects. In addition, he has recently written a text
book, ‘Religious Discrimination and Hatred Law’ which was
published in April 2007.
Neil runs two internet sites: www.harassmentlaw.co.uk,
which deals with all aspects of criminal and civil harassment law, workplace
bullying, racial and sexual harassment and anti-social behaviour, and www.religionlaw.co.uk,
which provides information and relevant web links on the subject of
Religious Discrimination and Hatred Law in England and Wales and internationally.
